Privacy Policy

SW Game Live is an app for sports reporters to build a live game score graphic and record game video with that graphic on top. This policy explains what information the app uses and why. SW Game Live uses the same account as SportzWire Publisher.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, your name, and your password. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store your password ourselves.
- Your profile: your name, your watermark image (if you upload one) and your watermark settings, and the saved look of your live games (style, sponsor logos, box positions).
- Your live games: the teams, scores, game status, clock and graphic settings you enter. Live games are deleted automatically after 7 days.
- Background photos: a photo you choose as the background of a game graphic is stored with that game and deleted with it.
- Sign-in history: when you sign in or open the app, we record the time, your email, and a short description of the device (for example, "Safari on iPhone"). This helps us keep accounts secure.
- Notification token (iPhone app): if you allow notifications, Apple gives the app a device token that we save on your account. It is used only to tell you when your account is approved, and it is deleted with your account.
What stays on your phone
- Camera and microphone: used only while you record a game or interview video in the app. Recordings are made on your phone and are not uploaded by the app.
- Videos and graphics you save: they go to your phone’s photo library (or wherever you choose to share them). The app does not upload them.
- Videos you pick from your photo library: used on your phone to make a new video with the score overlay. They are not uploaded.
How we use it
Only to run the app: to sign you in, save your games and settings so you can pick up where you left off on any device, and draw your graphics. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites. The app has no ads and no third-party analytics.
Who processes it
Your account, profile and games are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage). Notifications are delivered by Apple Push Notification service. The app’s website and server functions run on Netlify. When you create an account, SportzWire admins get an email alert so they can approve it. These services process data only to provide the app.
Who can see it
Your live games and profile are private to you. SportzWire administrators can view and help edit live games and see account and sign-in information to manage accounts and help writers.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app: My Profile → Delete my account. This permanently deletes your sign-in, profile, watermark, live games, sign-in history, and your SportzWire Publisher recaps and uploads. Videos you saved to your photo library stay on your phone. You can also ask us to delete your account by emailing the address below.
Children
SW Game Live is meant for sports reporters and media members, not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
